Prince Charles and Camilla were caught skitting laughing at traditional Iqaluit singers

"Prince Charles and wife Camilla (were) giggling like naughty schoolchildren", said United Kingdom tabloid The Sun, regarding the couple's conduct as they watched two Inuit women perform katajjaq, a traditional throat-singing activity often performed by a pair of females.

The royal couple did seem appreciative of the music and were pictured greeting the two female singers after the performance.

A traditional activity unique to the Inuit, throat-singing is considered a game or competition; two people (often women, who would participate in this game while men were out hunting) stand facing each other, taking turns inhaling, exhaling and singing.

The pairs compete to see who can last the longest before one of them runs out of breath.

The couple were in Iqaluit, Nunavut Thursday as part of a short trip to Canada to mark the country's 150th anniversary.

Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles were caught acting like naughty schoolchildren on their recent tour of Canada.

The pair have previously spoken of bonding over their shared sense of humour when they first met more than 40 years ago.
