AC Milan are buying all the strikers, leaving none for Chelsea

Chelsea are still reeling after missing out on Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United and are no closer to finding a replacement for Diego Costa.

However, Italian outlet CalcioMercato claim the Stamford Bridge club could be about to miss out on the forward to AC Milan.

Belotti made 38 appearances for Torino last term, scoring 28 goals and providing eight assists in all competitions.

AC Milan chief executive Marco Fassone reveals that three strikers remain on the club's wanted list - Alvaro Morata, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Andrea Belotti.

It leaves Chelsea boss Antonio Conte with problems up front less than a month before the Blues start the defence of their Premier League title against take on Burnley.

AC Milan 'open Renato Sanches talks'
That cost could go up to €80m with various bonuses, including €20m if he's in the top three for the Ballon d'Or. A much-vaunted player, Sanches won the Golden Boy award in 2016, and starred at Euro 2016, which Portugal won.

This is due to the fact that Belotti has reportedly informed his current club that he only wants Milan, and will wait out all other offers until a move to Vincenzo Montella's side materialises.

They have brought in the likes of Andre Silva from FC Porto; midfielders Ricardo Rodriguez (Wolfsburg), Franck Kessie and Andrea Conti (Atalanta), Hakan Calhanoglu (Bayer Leverkusen) and Lucas Biglia (Lazio); and defender Mateo Musacchio (Villarreal).

Milan have been splashing the cash this summer as they look to regain their status as a Serie A superpower.

Belotti has a €100m release clause in his contract but that is only valid for clubs outside of Serie A, and Chelsea have been unwilling to meet that price tag.

Belotti was absent from Torino's kit launch on Sunday, which could be an indication that he is set to move on this summer.
