Google Maps updated to tell best time to leave and travel

Either way, it could help you to avoid a nasty traffic jam if you're traveling on unfamiliar roads.

With new updates every now and then, Google Maps serves in the most advanced way possible.

Google has incorporated a new feature to Google Maps which will tell users the best time to leave for a destination.

This new feature appears to be live for all users, at least on the Android version of Google Maps. The app also predicts the best time to start a trip to a certain destination a few hours ahead, which gives room to speculation that the app uses data from previous days to create a formulaic pattern of traffic flow at a certain place at the given time. It pops up when you input directions.

The new feature will show a graph of the expected, and current actual travel time to any searched destination. The estimate will let you know that how long will it take to reach earlier or late due to traffic conditions.

Google has not disclosed that when this mapping feature will be launched on iOS.

Google Maps, which made its humble debut in February 2005, has vastly improved with each passing year and continues to get more value-added features (it has toilet locator in India) offering more personal options for the user.

WhatsApp testing in-app YouTube playback in latest beta
WhatsApp updates that are still on cards are live-location sharing, revoke/recall button, edit message feature and YouTube videos. But with the new update set to come in soon, things are looking really bright for the users of this text messaging platform.
