After all this, we will not bow down our heads rather fight and be happy to go to jail.

With two geographically and culturally distinct regions of West Bengal now on the boil, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has shifted the blame on to the Centre, saying it is "indifferent to the sinister role played by foreign forces".

On the party's stand in the monsoon session of Parliament starting tomorrow, she said, "TMC will be aggressive". Mamata, who is also part of 18-political parties who are opposing the centre on several fronts, urged others to vote against the BJP "for the sake of country".

Calling on the Opoposition to come on the same platform, the West Bengal Chief Minister also slammed the BJP's most talked about initiatives like demonestisation and GST calling them the biggest scam. It will be Bengal which will suffer from this bad foreign relationship, because Bengal has got a border with all these countries except China.

"We are voting for Meira Kumar because it's a vote against the atrocities of the Bharatiya Janata Party, violence in the name of cow vigilantism, interference in federal structure..." The Modi government had ruined India's ties with Bangladesh, Nepal, China and Bhutan.

"If China takes over Sikkim, which has similarities with Darjeeling, that will be because of the Centre's failure. Siliguri corridor is Chicken's Neck, owing to the Centre's faults and because of the deteriorating relations [with the neighbours].", she said.

Emphasising that she has always been for sharing good relations with Bangladesh, Banerjee said she had spoken to the external affairs minister when an effigy of that country's premier Sheikh Hasina was burnt by the VHP on 1 July. "What were the IB and SSB doing?" she asked.

Speaking to the media after casting her presidential vote here on Monday, the West Bengal chief minister drew comparisons between the acts of cow vigilantes with the mythology of Lord Hanuman burning down Lanka with fire on his tail. "What are the Central agencies like R&AW doing?" she wondered.
