Newlyweds allegedly abducted and raped woman on their honeymoon

Newlyweds allegedly abducted and raped woman on their honeymoon news Rashada Hurley

The victim told police that when she woke up Hurley was choking her and Lowe was driving her vehicle.

Police and witnesses say that Rashada Hurley, 32, and her new husband Timothy Lowe, 37, beat and kidnapped a woman, drove her to a motel and forced sex on her, then got naked the next day inside a convenience store and grabbed a couple of sodas without paying. The victim asked not to be identified during a press conference Monday with her attorney Carlos Silva. The couple used the unidentified woman's credit card to pay for a room at the motel, said police.

"In my mind, I'm thinking I have hope (because) how could they possibly use my credit card without my identification, to do such a horrific thing", the woman said.

Flanked by her attorney, the 27-year-old victim detailed the alleged abuse endured at the hands of a man and woman who are accused of a freaky crime spree. "The whole time in the vehicle she was thinking they are not going to able to get the room, whether it was to kill her or rape her or for ransom". She escaped when the couple was distracted and fled.

"The first opportunity I saw I took it". "It's my credit card to do this whole thing, which is bad, because you never think that you would get pain, that you would be able to get raped", she said as she broke down in tears. "At this point, I'm terrified.I don't know what's gonna happen". "This can happen to anybody", the victim said.

Rauner promises amendatory veto for school funding bill
The recently approved $36 billion state budget included an additional $350 million for kindergarten through 12th-grade classrooms. It also allocates about $300 million more to the Chicago Public Schools ( CPS ) for state aid and pensions.

"I don't want this to ever happen to any other woman. You never think this would happen to you, but this can happen to you if you are not aware of your surroundings", she said.

Lowe and Horsley were arrested on unrelated charges for public nudity.

Police discovered the couple walking naked a few blocks from the store, still carrying the stolen food items. Later, they entered a 7-Eleven and were accused of stealing two sodas. Horsley was also given a petit theft charge.

Silva told CBS4's Peter D'Oench he is considering legal action.
