Palestinian Gunman Shot Dead by Israeli Forces During West Bank Raid

Israeli soldiers abducted, Sunday, six young Palestinian men in the West Bank governorates of Ramallah, Salfit and Jerusalem.

"The Israeli army is not the arbiter of what constitutes journalism or suspected incitement", said CPJ Deputy Executive Director Robert Mahoney. Soldiers uncovered two bullet casings in the area.

"The forces encountered the suspect, who attempted to open fire at them".

Eyewitnesses said the three Palestinians were riding a motorcycle, before exchanging fire with the officers near the Lions Gate, and then continued towards the Dome of the Rock in Al-Aqsa compound where they exchanged fire with the officers, for the second time, before they were killed.

According to the Shin Bet, Halil, 34, was a former member of the Palestinian Authority's security services.

WEATHER WARNING: Scattered thunderstorms and downpours forecast for the North West
Citizens can look out for more rainy weather due to one of two weather systems heading toward the Caribbean region later this week.

Shin Bet reported that the Muslim terrorist who performed the shooting attacks in Binyamin and was eliminated by IDF Saturday night had performed the terror attacks together with his fiancee since their families did not accept their engagement.

The gun used was an improvised Carlo-style submachine gun that was made to look like an M-16 assault rifle.

The incident took place before dawn in the occupied West Bank village of Nabi Saleh, near the city of occupied Ramallah, and no Israeli casualties were reported.

The soldiers also abducted Mahmoud Abdul-Latif Deek, 27, from his home in Salfit, in central West Bank. According to the military, during an arrest raid in the Deheishe refugee camp, outside Bethlehem, Palestinians began throwing large rocks and explosive devices at the troops.
