Al-Qaeda Announces New Unit In Kashmir, Zakir Musa As The Leader

Zakir Musa was affiliated to Hizbul Mujahideen and was a close associate of slain Hizb commander Burhan Wani

In a statement, LeT said, "Indian conspiracies are being foiled ever since the locals and Hurriyat leaders forged unity among themselves.groups like al-Qaida and IS are being brought up to label the legitimate freedom struggle (in Kashmir) as terrorism".

Alarm bells are ringing for the security forces after radical commander Zakir Musa was named the Ameer (chief) of the new Al Qaeda-linked jihadist group, Ansar Ghazwat-Ul-Hind, in Kashmir.

"After the martyrdom of heroic Mujahid Burhan Wani, the jihad in Kashmir has entered a stage of awakening as the Muslim nation of Kashmir has committed to carry the flag of jihad to repel the aggression of tyrant Indian invaders", read the statement. Both groups said that Musa's unit was a conspiracy hatched by the Indian government.

Al-Qaeda established an Indian chapter in September 2014, but it has not garnered wide support. The announcement on Musa was made by an Al-Qaeda propaganda channel Global Islamic Media Front. The freedom movement of Jammu and Kashmir has no worldwide agenda, no links with organisations like Islamic State or Al-Qaeda.

"Earlier, people were fighting for something different", Mr Vaid told news agency AFP on Thursday. "For us, anyone who grabs a weapon is a terrorist. Organisation doesn't matter. We'll see, we'll face it", he added. Musa took over after Burhan Wani was killed by police forces in an encounter in July previous year.

Medicaid is the backbone of health coverage
But it is important for the public and members of Congress to understand the real reason for their opposition. The AHCA does all of this, while also raising the cost of health care premiums and increasing deductibles.

Burhan Wani's killing sparked violent protests in the Kashmir Valley and left almost 100 dead and thousands injured.

In an audio message circulated on social media, Musa had recently threatened to behead separatists and hang their heads in Srinagar, accusing them of using Kashmir for political gains.

Interestingly, Hizbul Mujahideen commander Syed Salahuddin, who is based in Pakistan, released a video statement on Wednesday urging Kashmiris "not to join any global jihadi movement".

Separatist groups have repeatedly stated that Al-Qaeda and the Islamic State group have no role in the Kashmiri self-determination movement, claiming the armed movement against Indian occupation as "indigenous".
