Ravens talking about Kaepernick as Harbaugh plays down Flacco injury fears

Irmo native David Olson was a graduate transfer at Clemson finishing up his career in 2014

He played at Stanford for four years before transferring to Clemson for a year as a graduate transfer.

Olson then made a decision to transfer back to his home state of SC and spend his final year of eligibility with the Clemson Tigers.

While the Kansas City Chiefs wouldn't rule out signing Colin Kaepernick, there are no rumors around the National Football League that any teams are seriously considering the former San Francisco 49ers star.

With multiple high-profile names on the quarterback free agent market such as Colin Kaepernick and Johnny Manziel, the Ravens have gone the route of signing Olson. This week, Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt said that he would not hesitate in signing Kaepernick if that is what his coach or general manager wanted.

But the realistic answer is that the Ravens don't actually want to upgrade their quarterback situation. Olson is likely being brought on as a "camp arm" to help the Ravens have enough passers on the practice field with Flacco now being held out for a week as a precaution.

"He's [Colin] a really good football player", Harbaugh said. I like history and politics and stuff, too, and we've had some debates.

Bad future performance Ahead?: American Airlines Group Inc. (AAL)
The sale was disclosed in a document filed with the Securities & Exchange Commission, which is available through this hyperlink . This change led market cap to move at $25.34B, putting the price -6.37% below the 52-week high and 54.58% above the 52-week low.

"He's a guy right now that's being talked about and we'll just see what happens with that". "I got to know him really well when they scrimmaged here [in 2014]".

There is some familiarity because Kaepernick played for Harbaugh's brother, Jim, with the San Francisco 49ers. Only speculation right now.

The only other quarterbacks in Ravens camp are Ryan Mallett and Dustin Vaughan, a second-year player from of Division II West Texas A&M.

The anthem protest was cited as the top reason (26%) fans watched fewer games last season, according to a recent survey released by J.D. Power.

"We're definitely going to get another arm in here", said Harbaugh.

Still, Kaepernick remains unsigned despite posting a 90.7 quarterback rating in 12 games last season with 16 touchdowns and four interceptions.
