Glover's Han Solo castmate Woody Harrelson looked at the director change this way when talking about it in July: "Oh, you can relax, man - because obviously the Force is with us", he said with a laugh.

And what's more, the Childish Gambino monicker might not be in the ground just yet, either. "I didn't have to do any research", he said.

Currently, "Redbone" is sitting at No. 12 on the Hot 100, while Gambino's latest album Awaken, My Love! hangs strong at No. 44. "You guys have been very instrumental in my music", he said. "Yeah, but it's not yet, though", he says. Back in June, the Atlanta star explained why, exactly, he was planning to leave the mantle of Childish Gambino in the past.

"He just let me ramble on and on, and then finally I was like, 'So, what do you think?' And he goes, 'Yeah, I don't know about all that".

During an interview with BBC Radio 1's Clara Amfo show on Tuesday, Glover spoke about living in the United Kingdom for the past year and his final album as Childish Gambino.

Donald Glover is the cover star of Hollywood Reporter's August issue, and the actor, writer, and musician discussed his current film work and the making of his hit show, Atlanta, in the interview.
