"Any plea other than not guilty requires the defendant's attendance", writes the aforementioned Spencer.

The attorney for Tiger Woods says the golfer won't attend his arraignment in Florida on a driving under the influence charge. Woods is expected to plead guilty to a lesser charge like reckless driving in October before entering the program and completing those benchmarks.

His attorney, Douglas Duncan, declined to discuss the case with reporters at the courthouse on Wednesday.

Tiger Woods will enter a diversion program later this fall.

The hearing comes a little more that two months after a Jupiter Police officer said he had to wake Woods up because he was sleeping at the wheel of his Mercedes, which was stopped in the right lane of Military Tria near the Indian Creek Parkway intersection.

Report reveals extremes Trump's team goes to keep him happy
North Korea reacted angrily to the sanctions, vowing to bolster its arsenal and mount revenge against the United States . Trump was referring to the 2010 controversy surrounding Blumenthal when he referred to himself having served in Vietnam.

Woods did not appear in court Wednesday.

A blood sample taken after his arrest tested positive for painkiller Vicodin and antidepressant Xanax, but proved he had no alcohol in his system. He was charged with driving under the influence and improperly stopping his vehicle.

He said at the time that alcohol was not involved and he had "an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications", per Kristina Sgueglia and Jill Martin of CNN.

He had previously stated: "I'm now receiving professional help to manage my medications and the ways that I deal with back pain and a sleep disorder". The following month he announced he had completed an out-of-state program. He now is not ranked on the PGA's list of top 1,000 players.
