Chuck D Calls for NFL Boycott Over Colin Kaepernick

Kaepernick, formerly of the San Francisco 49ers, became a topic of national conversation past year when he chose not to stand during the national anthem. Since leaving the 49ers in March, he has yet to be picked up by another team. To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way.

A United We Stand Rally for Colin Kaepernick is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 23 in front of NFL Headquarters in NY.

"We also understand the objective of Colin Kaepernick's protest is FAR more important than any games you will ever watch".

Aside from the various home-opener demonstrations, a major pro-Kaepernick protest is scheduled to take place in Manhattan outside the NFL league office on August 23. Several Chicago charities have benefitted from Kaepernick's generosity, including Chicago's Southsiders Organized for Unity and Liberation (SOUL) and the city's Black Youth Project 100.

North Korea 'risks end of regime'
"The DPRK should cease any consideration of actions that would lead to the end of its regime and the destruction of its people". Tensions surged this week after Trump's warning to the isolated state to give up its nuclear weapons and missile programmes.

Last season Kaepernick was the quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers last season but will not join that team this season.

Furthermore, the filmmaker says he won't even be able to make the rally due to his schedule, which includes the Thanksgiving Day premiere of his Netflix series "She's Gotta Have It".

"By standing for Kaepernick, we are standing for players' ability to raise awareness by taking small steps such as not standing for the national anthem without losing their jobs".
