Tim Tebow Greets Autistic Boy Mid-Game, Then Hits Home Run

VIDEO: Tim Tebow greets autistic boy in on-deck circle, hits home run in next at-bat

Tebow, who plays minor league baseball now in the Mets farm system, made one fan's day recently.

They shook hands, exchanged a quick hello, and then Tebow got back to work.

There's just something about this Tim Tebow guy. Tebow, in the on-deck circle, was approached by then-9-year old Seth Bosch (he has since turned 10). The disease left Seth with a tumor behind his right eye, but he was still determined to make his way from his parents' seats behind home plate at Charlotte Sports Park to the protective backstop netting near the Mets dugout.

In the top of the seventh inning of the St. Lucie Mets game against the Charlotte Stone Crabs on Jul. 29, Tebow was in the on-deck circle and a fan Seth Bosch, who was nine at the time, wanted to meet him.

Trump Declares Opioid Epidemic a National Emergency
Therein lies the problem: We don't need another commission to know what to do to ease the opioid crisis. Donald Trump's ignorance is weakening the presidency and an embarrassment to every single American.

Because Seth has a tumor behind one of his eyes, he can not participate in sports. A brief delay. That's when Seth made his move. Tebow hasn't exactly lit it up at the plate, but he has hit better since being promoted, improving his batting average (from.220 to.248) and OPS (.648-.725).

"When Seth came back to his seat, he was crying", Ileanna told Martin Fennelly of the Tampa Bay Times. I started crying, too.

Tebow subsequently pulverized a three-run homer to the delight of everyone in attendance. "I think God brought Seth and Tim together".
