Investment Banker Arrested, Denies Pushing Woman Into London Bus Path

Mr Bellquist, a top boss at the Wagamama and Byron restaurant chains, says he has "irrefutable proof" he was in the U.S. at the time of the incident, which took place at 7.40am on May 5.

Bellquist's lawyers said he had irrefutable proof that he was in the USA at the time of the incident, which happened on Putney Bridge in west London on 5 May.

Police said last night that he is still under active investigation.

CCTV showed the bus swerving, narrowly avoiding the 33-year-old woman, who suffered minor injuries, at around 7.40am.

Mr Bellquist studied at the University of Colorado Boulder and worked for Lehman Brothers before joining Hutton Collins Partners, which owns restaurant chains including Wagamana and Byron.

Does The US Have A Strategic Plan Against North Korea's Threats?
To talk about the USA options in North Korea, we're joined now by Republican Congressman Lee Zeldin of NY . The man behind the documentary "An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power" may not see eye-to-eye with Mr.

A Met Police spokesman said: 'Enquiries continue to identity the jogger who pushed the female pedestrian into the road'.

According to Thursday's police statement, the bus stopped and some passengers got off to help the victim. After passing a man in a suit, he seems to abruptly shove another pedestrian, unprompted, as a bus approaches from behind him, The Washington Post reports.

The Metropolitan Police says about 15 minutes later the runner returned in the other direction across the bridge, but when the woman attempted to speak to him, he "did not acknowledge her".

Sergeant Mat Knowles says it is thanks to the "superb quick reactions of the bus driver" that she was not hit.

Police described the jogger as a white man, aged early to mid 30s, with brown eyes and short brown hair, wearing a light grey t-shirt and dark blue shorts.
