Wenger Hails Giroud's Impact, Arsenal Character In Comeback Win Vs Leicester

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has told Arsene Wenger he'd like to be starting more games after netting a late victor in tonight's 4-3 thriller against Leicester City.

But Arsenal's pressure in the final half hour turned the game back their way and Aaron Ramsey equalised with seven minutes remaining before Giroud headed the 85th minute victor.

Lacazette scored inside the first two minutes, before goals from Shinji Okazaki and Jamie Vardy gave the Foxes the lead. After Aaron Ramsey leveled in the 83rd minute, Giroud sealed the three points within two minutes on an evening of thrilling attacks gifted by fragile defending.

Arsenal's new signing Frenchman Alexandre Lacazette took 94 seconds to make his mark with a header from Mohamed Elneny's curling cross to equal the record for the fastest opening goal in a Premier League season.

"Going forward and character wise we have been great".

They are looking for confirmation the Fed is sticking with plans for a possible December interest rate hike. The 30-year bond was last up 4/32 in price to yield 2.7871 per cent, from 2.794 per cent late on Thursday.

"If you were a manager, you're on the bench when you're 3-2 down with 20 minutes to go, and you win 4-3, you're more happy than concerned", said Wenger.

"Lacazette is simple - in every game he's stronger since he joined us", said Wenger, who had seen his side lose at home in three of their previous four opening league fixtures.

"I love the man (Giroud) and the player". "He's a fantastic guy as well, committed and loves the club". But I don't want him to go and in the end he made a decision to stay. "I opened the door for him, because I knew we had many strikers, but he's really loved here and he chose to stay".

Arsenal shipped three goals but were without arguably three of their first-choice defenders as Per Mertesacker, Laurent Koscielny and Shkodran Mustafi all sat out due to a combination of fitness and suspension. We lost the ball for the second goal and lacked some experience. We had a lot of experienced defenders out injured for the game. I know how important he is not only as a player but also in the group he has a big weight. Leicester was heading for something it didn't even achieve in its astonishing 2015-16 title-winning campaign: a win at Arsenal.
