Chelsea cool interest in England global after seeing £15M bid turned down

Chelsea have been told they won't be signing Danny Drinkwater

It is not a secret that Antonio Conte wants his club to sign a few more players before the end of the transfer window as Chelsea have so far signed Caballero, Rudiger, Bakayoko and Morata.

Chelsea have so far refused to follow up a £15million bid for Danny Drinkwater that was rejected by Leicester City earlier in the summer, according to reports. Such a strong interest in Danny Drinkwater comes as a result of Nemanja Matic's sale to Manchester United.

However, the same report says that Chelsea are yet to return with a second bid after failing with an opening offer of just £15m for the England worldwide.

A new central midfielder appears to be a priority and the newspaper says Chelsea are ready to intensify their efforts to sign Drinkwater after Conte made the Leicester star one of his prime targets.

S&P falls 1.4 pct in safety flight on N. Korea tensions
When Iraq invaded Kuwait 27 years ago this month, the S&P 500 fell 1.1 percent, and was down 9.3 percent 20 days later. Ongoing global glut concerns lingered in oil markets despite a bigger-than-expected draw in USA crude inventories.

Law wrote Chelsea will make a second offer for Drinkwater as part of a plan to sign up to three players before this summer's transfer window closes on August 31.

The departure of Matic has left Conte short of options in the middle of the park as he plots how to combine Chelsea's Premier League title defence with a return to the Champions League.

Chelsea have spent almost £150million on signing Alvaro Morata, Antonio Rudiger and Bakayoko this summer but Conte is keen to add three of four new faces to his squad before the window closes.

However, Leicester aren't ready to let Drinkwater leave without a fight and the Evening Standard suggest it will take an offer of at least £30m to persuade them to cash-in this summer.
