Expect a cloudy, hot and humid Sunday

WEATHER Five Days in Gaylord 8-7

The rain will stay clear of the area through the evening, leaving temperatures in the low to mid 70s and a few clouds. Only isolated showers and storms are expected for the rest of the weekend. Cloudy skies will stick around the entire night, and temperatures will cool to the upper 60s. Some areas of fog may begin to form again after midnight, so locally dense fog will be a possibility early Sunday morning.

Early morning fog should burn off rather quickly Sunday, with temperatures quickly rising through the afternoon. Sunday afternoon pop-up showers or storms are possible, but coverage will not be high. Storms should diminish overnight. High temperatures each afternoon will generally be in the upper 80s to lower 90s, just depending on where and when it rains each day. Storms should remain across western Kansas and some may be strong to severe.

Then as we move into the new work week another frontal boundary will set up along the I-20 corridor and stall out sending Acadiana waves of energy each afternoon sparking off a 50% chance for scattered showers and storms Monday and Tuesday. And for areas east of the D-FW area, they could move in after 7 p.m., possibly closer to 10 p.m. Timing will very much depend on when and where initial T-storms develop in northwestern North Texas.
