Red Wings explore legal action over logo used at Virginia white rally

Multiple white nationalists carrying tiki torches were at the University of Virginia for the rally that continued on Saturday morning.

"The Red Wings believe that hockey is for everyone and we celebrate the great diversity of our fan base and our nation".

A slightly modified version of the team's distinctive red-and-white logo is being used at the "Unite the Right" rally by a MI group calling themselves "The Detroit Right Wings".

Their responses may include pursuing legal action regarding "the disturbing demonstration".

While Ozil and Ramsey missed the Community Shield, Mertesacker was taken off injured after sustaining a head injury. He's not going to come back and hurt you.

There is a Michigan-based white nationalist group called the Detroit Right Wings that uses a logo almost identical to that of the Red Wings. That thing inside the wheel is an SS pattern.

The NHL then followed suit, issuing a statement that read "We are obviously outraged by the irresponsible and improper use of our intellectual property as seen this weekend in Charlottesville, Va".

The logo has been altered slightly in the center, and the people holding the signs belong to a group from MI called "The Detroit Right Wings".

Things have gotten truly ugly in Charlottesville, Virginia, where white nationalists are clashing with counter-protesters and police ahead of a rally that was scheduled to begin at noon Saturday.
