Usain Bolt falls with injury in last career race; fans devastated

NY [U.S.]: "Oh no" echoed across the globe as Usain Bolt's final race at the world championships ended in him getting injured and hobbling on the track, whimpering in agony.

Talbot added: "2012 didn't go our way and we have been working hard since then. Now he's really deserved time away and to not have to deal with the gruelling training". "40 minutes and two medal presentations before our run", said Yohan Blake.

And it was expected that he would make up for it by leading Jamaica to the 4x100m gold. "I think we need to do a better job of instructing all of what has been going on".

The USA's 100m champion, Justin Gatlin, had sympathy for Bolt and still expects him to return to the track, with the pair even having a bet.

The 21-year-old will team up with United States team-mate Gatlin to try to deny eight-time Olympic champion Bolt one last gold at the weekend, and it is a challenge he is relishing.

"A lot of the pain is from disappointment from losing the race", Team Jamaica doctor Kevin Jones told reporters (via the Associated Press) about how Bolt was feeling after the event.

"We've got to contend with the best athletes in the world".

White House defends Trump's response to Virginia violence
He went on to criticise the influence of Steve Bannon and the Breitbart website in the Trump administration. He added that it's not serving the President's interests to still have that wing around.

"He's a showman, he wants to come out and I think he'll do a great job if he comes back to track and field".

The Jamaica legend seemed to pull his hamstring on the final stretch at the London Stadium.

Last week when the sprinter ran his last individual race, he didn't have a happy ending and was edged by Justin Gatlin and Christian Coleman of the US despite Bolt running his season best of 9.96 seconds.

Bolt was the final leg for his team on this race. It felt like it was there but the reason I lost because I couldn't get it.

The 60,000-capacity stadium was primed for one last Bolt show, one last "To the World" pose after a victory, but the injury made it blatantly clear why Bolt is ready to retire.

"Bolt is an electrifying character who has run sizzling times, mind-blowing times and throughout the years he has always kept it classy".
