Ben Affleck promises a "more traditional Batman" in 'Justice League'

Casey Affleck Doesn't Think Ben Affleck Will Star In 'The Batman'

Regardless of the rumors circulating around the star's involvement in The Batman, Ben Affleck's Dark Knight will be front and center in the upcoming Justice League film.

Batman and Wonder Woman lead the efforts to unite a team for the greater good, so we're getting a more positive, proactive Batman. Nah, he was great.

Not unlike Joss Whedon's first Avengers, which was all about disparate heroes putting aside their differences to work together, Affleck sees the Justice League itself in the same terms as the United Nations. But he's not going to do that movie, I don't think. (You can hear his comments around the six-minute mark of this video.) "No, he was great".

Hope Hicks tapped for interim White House communications director
Hicks survived frequent turnover in the top ranks of the Trump campaign a year ago and later the Trump White House. Hicks has been close by Trump's side since the early days of the campaign and is one of his most trusted staffers.

When one of the hosts points out that his comments would be "breaking news", Casey Affleck responded that it was just his speculation. "I was just kind of making that up", he adds before a bunch of people talking over each other. It's incredible. I still can't believe after two films... we have this history with this great studio.

"BvS departed a little bit from the traditional Batman". His transformation began at the time of his encounter with Superman and all of his rage that stemmed from the fact of many human losses during his confrontation with Zod. He was holding on to a lot of anger, in a little bit of an irrational way. It's also not clear how much he knows about Ben's Batman future. At Comic-Con last month, Ben Affleck seemed to shut down the rumors that his future as Batman was "in doubt," saying, "Being Batman is the coolest f-ing part in any universe". He's heroic. He does things in his own way, but he wants to save people, help people ... They're telling me that, Ben Affleck, make no mistake, he does want out. This is a man angry, irrationally, excessively, which took away a Batman more traditional. Meaning, Justice League will likely be it for this incarnation of the Caped Crusader.

He was replaced by Matt Reeves, who recently teased that "The Batman" will be like a film noir crime drama focusing on the superhero's detective skills.
