Facebook introduces design improvements to News Feed for better navigation


Comments are now bubbles, and these are rounded, to be aligned, design-wise, with the aforementioned round profile pictures. This change will also bring a new interface for replies that makes it a bit more apparent which posts are replies and which are original comments.

Facebook has announced a redesign for the News Feed of its mobile app. It's essentially Instagram's Boomerang feature, but in Facebook.

Facebook's changes to link previews are more than cosmetic.

Facebook redesigned link previews with larger photos and shaded backgrounds. Note that this isn't a major overhaul of the News Feed, but rather it seems that Facebook is making some subtle changes that you might not even notice. In order to do so, FB is trying to make it easier to see where a link will take you before clicking on it.

Secondly, the News Feed proper is getting a few readability tweaks of its own, such as bigger, higher-contrast text on the "Like/Comment/Share" buttons so that they're easier to tap. These updates will be rolled out to the Facebook app across the globe over the coming weeks.

Facebook plans to improve how people navigate News Feed to create a more consistent experience. This was actually first introduced to iOS users last month, but it is now rolling out to Android users as well.

But the critical new change in the new Facebook is the new look for conversations. Lastly, the company has added the ability to share text posts through Facebook Stories. Most notably, the company is making changes to how users go about navigating the News Feed on desktop and mobile, while the Camera functionality is also gaining a handful of new features.
