Tigers' Ian Kinsler blasts umpire Angel Hernandez

Ian Kinsler has a lot to say about Angel Hernandez, none of it is good

Before Tuesday's game, Kinsler decided to make his feelings known in a very immediate and very direct way.

When the next pitch was well outside and called a ball, Kinsler asked Hernandez, "What about that one?" and was ejected.

Kinsler was immediately tossed and when Tigers manager Brad Ausmus came out of the dugout to defend Kinsler he was run too by Hernandez, who has been a major league umpire for nearly 25 years.

Suffice to say, Hernandez didn't appreciate that "input" about his job and ejected Kinsler right in the middle of his at-bat.

"No, I'm surprised at how bad an umpire he is".

North Korean leader Kim recalls ambassadors to discuss escalation
North Korea seems to have backed away from its threat to attack the USA island territory of Guam, something that would have ensured a strong US response.

Kinsler told the Detroit News that Hernandez "needs to re-evaluate his career choice", claiming that the ump is "messing with baseball games". He needs to find another job. At this point, Angel Hernandez would probably rank at or near the bottom of everyone's "worst umpire" lists, so stories like this aren't much of a surprise, but when you begin throwing out players and managers, you really should be a bit more careful.

When told of Kinsler's comments, Hernandez reportedly said "I'm not at liberty to discuss tit-for-tat what's going on". As a matter of fact, I don't even care what he said.

Kinsler was asked if he felt Hernandez was just biased against him. Kinsler and Hernandez had exchanged words prior to that, and it sure looks like Kinsler looked back and said something after the obvious ball.

Kinsler said he has no personal problem with Hernandez, and that he's not mad at him. He has umpired two World Series and three All-Star Games. "He just needs to go away".
