Fresh trailer unleashed for 'Rememory' starring Peter Dinklage

This futuristic endeavor is not, however, without consequences.

Rememory sees Peter Dinklage - an excellent actor who has sadly been mostly cast in supporting roles finally getting a chance to be the lead - play the role of a mysterious man who tries to solve the murder of the scientist who invented the technology that can extract people's memories for external viewing. As the investigation continues, a web of intrigue and deceit is uncovered, as well as the consequences of using such a device.

Directed by Mark Palansky, the film is also in partnership with the producers at Lionsgate. Rememory, however, is more hard-edged sci-fi.

The movie also stars Julia Ormond, Henry Ian Cusick, Martin Donovan, Evelyne Brochu, and Anton Yelchin in one of his final performances.

Campaigners vow to fight on for same sex marriage

In the past, we have seen movies go straight to the Google Play Store and not cost customers a dime, but this is the first time a movie will be made available on Play Movies before hitting theatres.

While Rememory alone isn't likely to have Netflix shaking in its boots, it does show that Google has similar ambitions to host exclusive films.

REMEMORY was written by Michael Vukadinovich and Mark Palansky and produced by Daniel Bekerman and Lee Clay.

The film, which premiered at Sundance earlier this year, explores the mysterious death of visionary scientific pioneer Gordon Dunn, in the wake of his creation of a machine that can allow users to extract and view memories. His grieving wife (Julia Ormond) retreats into her house and cuts off contact with the outside world. Sam Bloom, a detective, sets about trying to solve the murder using this memory machine.
