Intel CEO Leaves Trump Biz Advisory Board

Donald Trump has lashed out at the CEO of the USA's third-largest pharmaceutical company who resigned from a federal advisory council because of the United States president's failure to immediately and explicitly rebuke white nationalists who marched in Charlottesville, Virginia. Trump had originally condemned violence "on many sides" over the issue (a statement which drew rebukes from both Democrats and Republicans).

"America's leaders must honor our fundamental values by clearly rejecting expressions of hatred, bigotry and group supremacy", he said in a statement.

The president followed up later in the day, tweeting that Merck "is a leader in higher & higher drug prices while at the same time taking jobs out of the U.S. Bring jobs back & LOWER PRICES!"

On Twitter, Trump also assailed the CEOs who left as "grandstanders" and said he had plenty of executives available to take their place.

Alliance president Scott Paul, in a tweet, said simply, "I'm resigning from the Manufacturing Jobs Initiative because it's the right thing for me to do". He did not refer to the president, though.

With the barb, Mr Trump appeared to attack an industry executive who has tried to make drug pricing somewhat more transparent by revealing his company's overall drug price changes.

Trump initially tweeted that violence from "many sides" needed to stop, a tweet that angered many people on the left and right because it failed to condemn the violence actions of Alt-Right protectors which led to the death of one innocent bystander and two police officers who died in a helicopter crash.

At a news conference Monday, after a barrage of blistering criticism, the president said "racism is evil".

Trump said on Twitter that he has other CEOs ready to step in and that "grandstanders" should not have joined the manufacturing council in the first place.

United Dominion Realty Trust Inc
The corporation has a valuation of $6.06 B, a price to earnings ratio of 148.04 along with a stock beta of 0.32. It is down 0.00% since August 16, 2016 and is. 1St Global reported 24,718 shares or 0.06% of all its holdings.

Kenneth Fraizer, the chief executive of drugmaker Merck and an African-American, said he left the advisory council because of the president's reaction after the violence between white supremacists and counter protesters.

Krzanich's withdrawl is a stark change of course for Intel, which has thus far worked closely with the Trump administration. "No equivalence w/ those who bring us together".

Krzanich put it this way: "There should be no hesitation in condemning hate speech or white supremacy by name".

After all, most companies these days spend countless hours talking about their culture and values.

Corporate leaders have been willing to work with Trump on taxes, trade and reducing regulations, but they've increasingly found themselves grappling with cultural and social tensions amid his lightning rod-style of leadership.

What about Indra Nooyi, the Indian-born chief executive of PepsiCo? "Our company has long fostered an environment of acceptance and tolerance in the workplace", a company spokeswoman said.

"GE has no tolerance for hate, bigotry or racism, and we strongly condemn the violent extremism in Charlottesville over the weekend", a company spokesperson said.

Privately, many chief executives say they are fuming, outraged by the president. They made a business decision to join and a business decision to leave. He continued, "I am appreciative of the opportunity to have served, but have chose to step down from the council. I'm not sticking my head up".
