Marshawn Lynch Hasn't Lost A Step In His Press Conferences

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

He was quick-witted, disarming and, as always, not suitable for work. It didn't stick around long.

Lynch, speaking for the first time since camp opened on July 28, fielded a few questions before being asked about the "elephant in the room" regarding his decision to remain seated on a cooler during the anthem while eating a banana during the preseason opener in Arizona. Beast Mode responded with an elephant metaphor - something about how elephants are scared of mice. "That motherf***** left", the running back said, according to Phil Barber of the Press Democrat.

Two more related questions came down the pike. His answers to the questions were fantastic.

"I think that elephant just left the room cause a little mouse ran in here", Lynch said. "I would say yes".

"When we run "74" or something like that where I've got to scan and read both sides, that'd be pretty hard", Lynch said.

Marshawn Lynch gave the most Marshawn Lynch answer about sitting for the anthem
Raiders RB Marshawn Lynch doesn't say much about sitting national anthem

"I understand these guys man, they're trying to make statements and they're trying to be a part of this world but football is where people go to get away from that stuff."

The 31-year-old did not miss one practice this summer. The Raiders did edit out Lynch's expletive. He wants to represent his hometown well and give them something to cheer before the team leaves for Las Vegas.

Lynch did not play in Saturday's exhibition but is expected to start against the Los Angeles Rams.

"It's truly a blessing and just to have the opportunity to go and do that is a good [expletive] feeling", Lynch said.
