Meek Mill Arrested & Charged With Reckless Endangerment In NYC

"They say it's 'cause he was riding a dirt bike yesterday", one of Meek's friends can be heard saying in the background.

Mill, real name Robert Rihmeek Williams, 30, was busted at about 10:15 p.m.at the corner of 10th Ave. and Dyckman St., cops said.

Rapper Meek Mill was arrested Thursday night for recklessly riding an illegal dirt bike through Inwood after police saw his Instagram posts about it, an NYPD spokeswoman said.

According to a New York Police Department spokesperson, the video showed Mill without a helmet and putting "himself and others at great risk of injury" as he performed the stunt.

However, while being held in police cusotdy, Meek again took his Instagram live to record his encounter with the police. "Cop said wasn't that you doing wheelies or whatever yesterday on the bikes", one wrote.

A good night turned bad quickly for Meek Mill on Thursday (Aug. 17) when the "What You Need' rapper went from performing on The Tonight Show to getting arrested for reckless endangerment".

Meek has been officially arrested and charged with reckless endangerment. The officer continues, "I got video of you".

Video posted to social media reportedly shows the inside of a vehicle the rapper had been riding in at the time of his arrest.

Meek is performing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon tonight.
