Adam Driver hints at 'unexpected' Kylo Ren development in The Last Jedi

The princes visited the set last year

According to The Last Jedi star John Boyega, you can expect to catch a glimpse of Tom Hardy, Prince William, and Prince Harry in the new film. Instantly, rumours cropped up that the visit was more than just a set tour - and now, it seems John Boyega has confirmed that's the case. except we might not see the royal Star Wars moment after all.

The 25-year-old actor - who will reprise his role as former Stormtrooper Finn in the sequel - has revealed the royal brothers and the "Dunkirk" star were both on set at Pinewood Studios last year, but hasn't confirmed or denied that they are set to play Stormtroopers or if their parts have been cut from the movie. "I'm sick of hiding this".

'I think they took that scene out, ' said Mr Boyega. "They came on set".

The princes visited the Pinewood set in April a year ago, where they chatted to crew, played with lightsabers - and befriended Chewbacca, being played by Joonas Suotamo.

On the radio program Friday, Boyega stopped short of stating that the two princes and Hardy were definitely in the movie, or had even filmed cameos, saying only that they had all been "on set". "I think it will be hopefully unexpected".

More specifically, it was believed that they'd share a scene with Daisy Ridley's Rey and Benicio Del Toro's character, DJ.

"There were images. Every time I get asked, I have to dodge it". I'm exhausted of dodging it. "So was Tom Hardy".

Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry arrive for the wedding ceremony of Pippa Middleton, May 20, 2017 in Englefield Green, England.

It would not be the first time that a famous face hid itself behind a mask in a secret cameo in the franchise, with Daniel Craig delivering a brief line as a stormtrooper in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens".

"The Last Jedi" soars its way into theaters December 15.
