HBO accidentally posts Sunday's 'Game of Thrones' episode

The full episode is reportedly available on torrent. "The error appears to have originated with a third party vendor and the episode was removed as soon as it was recognized".

Game of Thrones has more Emmy Awards than any narrative show in history and airs in 170 countries, with viewership figures shattering records across the world.

On August 4, mobile comparison website "Smartprix" spotted a direct link to the MP4 of the episode at Star India's own distribution site.

This week, one email of HBO was released by the hackers stating that the company has expressed the willingness of paying them $250,000 as per negotiation over the data swiped from servers of HBO.

The group, which markets itself as a penetration testing organisation specialising in social media security, took over the main HBO accounts as well as others belonging to the network's shows, as reported by the BBC.

"Hollywood companies in particular are beefing up their security systems way more than before the Sony hack in 2014", Belloni said.

HBO CEO Richard Plepler said at the time that the attack resulted in "some stolen proprietary information, including some of our programming". That record will be broken with the 81-minute season seven finale airing August 27, but let's not get ahead of ourselves.

The episode, scheduled to be aired for viewing in the U.S. on August 6 and India on August 7, was leaked online from Star India.

HBO is also dealing with what it calls inadvertent leaks from its overseas partners.
