Shinji Okazaki strikes early as Leicester City down Brighton & Hove Albion

The £25milion signing from Manchester City came on as a sub for the Foxes at Arsenal last week.

Japanese worldwide Okazaki was on hand to rifle home the rebound from a Riyad Mahrez shot in the first minute as the 2016 Premier League champions got off to a flying start in their first home game of the season.

Shinji Okazaki and home debutant Harry Maguire clinched the points for Craig Shakespeare's home side with goals in each half to condemn the visitors to yet another top flight loss. Brighton goalkeeper Mathew Ryan managed to get a hand to it, only for the rebound to fall straight to Okazaki, who calmly slotted home to give Leicester the lead in the opening minute.

A blatantly offside Glenn Murray was denied an equaliser at the other end and the visitors then appealed in vain for a penalty as Wes Morgan blocked bravely with a combination of arm and chest from Jamie Murphy's drive.

"It's really just a second opinion".

Brighton could take some heart from the fact that the deficit was only one goal at the halfway point, but the second half failed to raise hopes of dramatic turnaround.

Republicans, Dems split on Trump's response to Virginia attack
Among independents, 52 per cent said Trump's response was not strong enough and 30 per cent said it was, Politico news reported. The poll says Republicans who were interviewed after the conference fell Trump is "assigning blame accurately in the matter".

In the 54th minute, Maguire made it 2-0 to Leicester after heading in Mahrez's corner.

It was hardly surprising Hughton opted to make a change on the hour and former Leicester winger Anthony Knockaert was given a rousing reception on his introduction.

'He's had a fairytale at Leicester and they've done tremendously well and given him the platform.

Brighton shows fighting spirit but ultimately gunned down by the sheer quality of the Foxes' attack and, in particular, man of the match and wantaway forward Riyad Mahrez.
