Hurricane Harvey could force LSU-BYU game to move from Houston

8/30/14 Tailgate Houston

Sunday night, LSU said it was "almost certain" the game won't be played at the location.

AT&T Stadium (Dallas): Jerry's World already features No. 17 Florida taking on No. 11 MI.

LSU Athletic Director Joe Alleva said a location for the LSU-BYU game will be figured out by tomorrow.

LSU head coach Ed Orgeron is holding his weekly news conference before a Tigers football game. The Superdome is hosting an National Football League preseason game between the Saints and the Baltimore Ravens this Thursday night, but said they could get arena ready for LSU's use in two days if they take up the offer. It's ESPN's game. They have the rights to it and they are negotiating where the game will be located, and like I said, we've been in constant contact with them.

'Hitman's Bodyguard' Barely Beating 'Annabelle: Creation' to Win Slowest Weekend of 2017
The biggest factor that caused the halt is because an already slow August witnessed no major new releases last weekend. The Hitman's Bodyguard maintained top spot with $10 million, while Leap! debuted in third with half the takings.

If moved, it would be the third consecutive year LSU has had to move a game because of weather-related issues.Their game against Florida was relocated because of Hurricane Matthew last year. "But they are looking at all their options at this point in case the game has to be moved".

Sports anchor Fletcher Mackel said Doug Thornton, executive vice president for SMG, said he has offered up to the Superdome as a possible venue for the game if officials decide to relocate because of the conditions. This would be the mostly likely candidate if it weren't for the heavy rain expected from the remnants of Hurricane Harvey. The Superdome in New Orleans could also potentially host the two teams.

Camping World Stadium (Orlando): Another stadium that's expressed its readiness to take on this game is the Citrus Bowl, now officially known as Camping World Stadium.
