Watt, a defensive end for the Houston Texans, launched a campaign with a relatively modest goal: raising $200,000 for the victims of Hurricane Harvey in Texas.

Drake's donation was just the latest in a string of celebrity contributions to Watt's fundraising efforts, among them was Ellen DeGeneres who donated $1 million. There have been over 50,000 individual donations to the charity so far, according to Watt: some for $10, some for $500, but it's added up to an incredible number. In a video posted this morning, he stated that trucks of supplies are already being filled.

"So if you can donate, please donate".

"The Packers and our fans send our support to the many people and communities impacted by the devastating flooding in the Houston area", said Mark Murphy, president and CEO.

Hurricane Harvey may have subsided, but the effects of the natural disaster are still alive and well. His fund has now reached $5.1 million dollars after he originally set out to raise just $200,000. Watt started an online fundraising drive that has raised well over $4 million-he's said he's now shooting for $10 million. The Texans were on the road playing the New Orleans Saints on Saturday.

'You feel a little bit helpless.

Harvey's record rainfall left a sizeable portion of the Houston area underwater and submerged much of the interstate highway system, limiting access to emergency services and supplies. I think that's the beauty of the people in this country: When they see somebody going through a tough time they all rally around.

The Texans are headed back to Houston after their Thursday night preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys was cancelled, so that players could return home to their families.

"We can't help physically, so we're going to help raise that money, we're going to try to make sure that we get a jump-start on it", Watt said.
