Jared Leto Reportedly Upset That Another Actor Will Play The Joker

Deadline Sick Chirpse

Last week it was reported that Warner Bros.is developing a movie about the origin story of prominent Batman nemesis The Joker.

This isn't the first time Leonardo DiCaprio has been wanted for a role in the DC universe as reportedly Leonardo DiCaprio was a favorite to play the Riddler in the Christopher Nolan Dark Knight movies; however, rumors have stated there is contention between Leonardo DiCaprio and Christian Bale, so Riddler never happened. It's important to note that their are several differences, as the hairstyle is more in line with the comic book character or even Suicide Squad's version played by Jared Leto. Scorsese and DiCaprio are frequent collaborators and good friends, having previously worked together on critically-acclaimed films such as Shutter Island, The Wolf of Wall Street, and The Aviator. Todd Phillips, the filmmaker behind The Hangover trilogy and War Dogs, is writing the screenplay and intends to direct, but the heavy hitter in this news was Scorsese, who has been linked to the project as a potential producer. Both DiCaprio and Scorsese have mostly avoided blockbuster fare during their careers, but now that both have their Oscars, maybe that could change.

There's no offer for DiCaprio, and sources say Scorsese's deal to produce isn't even done yet.

San Francisco Audience Boos Dianne Feinstein For Defending Trump
The San Francisco Democrat was asked about the pardon of former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio at a lecture in San Francisco. Congratulations to Senator Dianne Feinstein on becoming a Dril tweet.

According to THR, Warners could make an attempt to use Scorsese to recruit DiCaprio for the role - which was made exceedingly famous a decade ago, by the late Heath Ledger.

On the chance that he does take the role, DiCaprio would be far from the first Academy Award victor (or nominee, for that matter) to join the film world of comics. The studio house had less success with the Batman franchise with the relative box-office bust Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in 2016.

What do you think about Jared Leto's feelings regarding the new take on the Joker? Therefore, when the news broke that he's the "dream pick" for the Joker origin movie that Warner Brothers and DC are working on, there were mixed reactions.
