Shubh Mangal Savdhan Box Office Opening Weekend: Ayushmann - Bhumi's film stands tall

Ayushmann Khurrana Bhumi Pednekar's 'Shubh Mangal Saavdhan' mints over Rs 2 cr at Box Office

Made on a budget of Rs 10 crore, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan has already started raking in profits within three days of its release.

Notably, Baadshaho witnessed a box office clash with Ayushmanna Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Shubh Mangal Saavdhan and the Ajay Devgn starrer has successfully managed to emerge as the victor so far.

Here's how much Shubh Mangal Saavdhan has scored so far. The growth in the film's earnings was attached to the positive word of mouth and raving reviews from the critics, and a national holiday for Bakri Eid. The Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar starrer nearly doubled its collections compared to its first day which clearly states the movie is carrying good word of mouth. The film performed excellently on Saturday. The film is the second collaboration between Ayushmann and Bhumi, their previous film "Dum Laga Ke Haisha" which was released in Feb 2015 was a hit. Ajay Devgn's weekend collection is equal to Shubh Mangal Saavdhan's total earning.

Woodburn leads new breed of Wales stars

One can see the difference between a superstar's movie and a good actor's film by their box office collections. "India biz.", Taran Adarsh had tweeted.

Another point to be noted is that Milan Luthria's Baadshaho released across 2,800 screens in India while Shubh Mangal Saavdhaan got 1,400 screens across the country.
