Woman pulls out gun during fight in school supplies aisle at Walmart

Shopper pulls gun on woman trying to buy children's notebook in back-to-school sale

"She pulled out her firearm and tells them to stop attacking her daughter while pointing the gun at them", Baeten said. There was only one notebook left, and two shoppers were attempting to claim it when a verbal argument turned into pushing and shoving, and ultimately, one woman pulling out a gun, police said.

"One girl was going to buy a notebook".

No parent will deny that back-to-school shopping can be a tense, unpleasant experience, but it was especially so for customers at a Michigan Walmart this week. Two area women, aged 32 and 46 years, shopped for school supplies when they are entered into a confrontation with a woman 20 years of age and his mother of 51 years.

Only one notebook remained on the shelf, and two women reached for it at once.

"It was a senseless act of violence all the way around", a police representative said. Investigators are trying to get more witnesses to come forward, and they're trying to get surveillance video from the store to get a closer look at what happened. Police said they were reviewing the case to see if charges were warranted and that the woman who pulled the gun had a concealed carry license.

Omission by National Football League in Ezekiel Elliott investigation may result in no suspension
Ezekiel Elliott is awaiting word from an arbitrator on whether his suspension is upheld, overruled or reduced. The NFLPA also wanted to know why NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell did not testify in Elliott's hearing.

Police spoke with prosecutors who hope to determine if it was self-defense and who the aggressors were.

All four women could face charges of assault. The gun was loaded, but there was no round in the chamber, WJBK reported.

"A simple assault could be just a local ordinance, a 90-day misdemeanor".

"I'm unsure who got the notebook", Baetens said.
