'The Bachelor' Shocker: Arie Luyendyk Jr. to Star in Season 22

In the time since he was branded The Bachelorette's "Kissing Bandit", he's been up to some mildly interesting stuff.

Good Morning America tweeted last Thursday that the new Bachelor would be revealed on the next morning's show. The race auto driver, who was runner-up on Emily Maynard's season 8 of The Bachelorette, had an open and honest conversation with ABC producers about his love life before his new gig was revealed on Good Morning America. Gossip guru Reality Steve had indicated that "Bachelorette" runner-up #Peter Kraus was set to hand out roses, but instead, it will be #Arie Luyendyk, Jr. from Emily Maynard's season. It's going to be a wild season 22 ride. "Now that I've had some time and distance away from [being on the show], it feels like the feeling I had before I went into it the first time". I am just focused on the outcome.

But despite the hints, it seems few fans guessed Luyendyk would be the selection over popular contestants from more recent seasons of "The Bachelorette", like Peter Kraus, Eric Bigger, and Wells Adams. He's handsome and level headed, and he's just a few weeks shy of 36, an age I consider to be appropriate for seeking his future wife. I want to find my person and will do whatever it takes!' Let's just say that whoever ends up winning his season is going to have a pretty comfortable lifestyle. "Now they know along with you guys!" he added. 'So now they know.

"Unfortunately, Peter [Kraus] probably will not be #TheBachelor", Fleiss said in his post.

Girard police get reports of red balloon sightings
According to the Lititz Borough Police Department's Facebook page , red balloons poking out of sewers have them " terrified ". Not only are they leaving the balloons for others to find, but they're leaving small messages to help build up the fear.

He said he was a bit skeptical about whether it would happen, but it works for him.

'But they knew he's who the fans wanted.

Now, five years later, Arie is getting his shot at love, and I'm starting to warm up to him already.

Arie came in second (Emily rejected him and picked Jef Holm) and was also in the running to become the Bachelor for both Season 17 and Season 19.
