Tehran Resolved to Boost Ties with Islamabad: President Rouhani

In the meeting between President Hassan Rouhani of Iran and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Turkey late on Saturday on the margins of OIC summit in Astana, Kazakhstan, Dr Rouhani said: "We must make a great development in Iran-Turkey relations, especially in economic fields, based on capabilities of the two countries".

According to media reports, President Rouhani is expected to deliver a speech during the Science and Technology Summit.

The Summit's theme is "Science, Technology, Innovation and Modernization in the Islamic World".

Hussain also emphasised the need for leaders of the Muslim world to improve agricultural production and develop the agricultural technology sector.

He said that from the determination expressed by the attendants of the conference it was apparent it would be a success. Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen, Bangladesh President Abdul Hamid and some heads of delegation will address the session, which will discuss recent developments that have targeted the Rohingya Muslim minority in Myanmar. "The leaders reiterated the strong mutual support and solidarity in the face of terrorist threat posed to the two countries and reiterated their resolve to defeat the scourge of terrorism through resolute action".
