Google will unveil the Pixel 2 on October 4

The Google Pixel 2 launch date just got confirmed

While Google is widely expected to launch its next-generation Pixel smartphones in October, we haven't really come across a specific date. This piece of information can be traced to an otherwise innocent looking billboard that appeared in Boston carrying the message 'Ask more of your phone.'.

Mark your calendars for October 4, Android fans. If Google does pull the trigger, this latest hardware deal won't have patent implications as big as its previous Motorola turnaround, but it will mark the unification of two long-term patent partners. We'll be covering the event as it happens right here at SlashGear, so stay tuned for more.

Google is also teasing the fact that the upcoming Pixel 2 and the Pixel XL 2 phones will be smarter, more durable and will be getting frequent updates (which is kind of obvious).

Google doesn't want you to think about iPhone X anymore. I'm not even sure if the Pixel 2 needs to have dual cameras, but now that Samsung, Apple, LG, Huawei, and others are all doing it, that would be nice, too.

Russian submarines fire seven cruise missiles at Isis militants
Meanwhile, a Kurdish-led offensive, backed by the US-led coalition, is underway in the northern part of the province. Philippine government forces have been trying to remove IS-linked militants from the city since May.

Why is my phone always out of storage? But since the introduction of the Pixel, the company has taken 100% control of the design and branding of its phones, and is simply using phone makers ass contract manufacturers. However, this handset was one of those phones that had high initial quality, but it seems that it has failed to stand the test of time.

Some questions, like the battery, temperature and camera, could be referring to improvements the Pixel 2 will offer.

Google's Pixel smart phones are the only major flagship smartphones that are up for launch now, as all the major awaited flagships of this year have been released already. The video suggests that the Pixel 2 will have all the answers to these questions, and that definitely piques our interest. Both phones are also expected to have a squeezable frame not unlike the HTC U11, a feature that will probably be tied to Google Assistant. That's a concerning omission because rumors leading up to the October 4 unveiling suggest the Pixel 2 won't come with the beloved port.

Recent leaks show the Pixel 2 will come in an aluminum black model with a black glass top-third, as well as a slate gray-looking glass window and a dark silver back according to 9to5Google. But given the timing, Droid Life believes it is most likely the Pixel 2 launch event date.
