Yu Yureka 2 launched in India for Rs 11999 (~$185)

After launching Yureka Black, Yu- an online-only subsidiary of the Micromax, has launched the sixth smartphone under its Yureka series called the Yureka 2. There is also 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via a MicroSD card slot.

Yureka 2 will face competition with the likes of Redmi Note 4 and Lenovo K8 Plus among others.

The smartphone comes with a 16-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It is backed by a 3,930mAh non-removable battery that also supports Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology.

YU offers a premium experience in the Yureka 2 with its metallic unibody, impressive camera and solid performance.

The top-end model of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is available for Rs 12,999. On the front it has an 8MP selfie snapper. The phone also has rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The company did not reveal any plans about releasing the Android 7.1 Nougat update for the Yureka 2, but it might happen by the end of this year.

Connectivity options in the smartphone include 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and micro USB port. The smartphone is priced at ₹11,999 and is available exclusively via Flipkart.

One of the major drawbacks of the YU Yureka is the fact that it still runs on Android Marshmallow.
