Ram Rahim used to organise 'Bigg Boss'-like show: Honeypreet's ex-husband
News Agency ANI reported Vishwas Gupta saying, "In no way is Honeypreet Ram Rahim's daughter, no legal adoption was done". The duo were booked for sedition. "Yes, I'm playing Honeypreet as I have known her for seven to eight years".

Newton director Amit Masurkar, who is very happy with this development, said, "The timing is so flawless". The film which recently released this year, has been showcasing its humble roots in worldwide film festivals, and has today finally released in India, the same day when the Film Federation of India deemed it worthy of the prestigious award. The film's protagonist, election officer Newton Kumar (Rajkummar Rao) as an angry, honest presiding officer, is on a mission to effect change in insurgency-hit state of Chhattisgarh by conducting a free and fair elections.

Reacting to the film's selection, he told Mint: "It's a great honour for us to represent India at the Oscars".

"Newton" will enter in the Foreign Language Film category at the 2018 Oscars.

"It's something to be proud of as we have a thousand number of films coming out each year and out of that number, our film gets an entry". The film has opened today (Sept 22) and we've been getting a good response [from the critics and the audience]. Masurkar, who had made his directorial debut with "Sulemani Keeda", believes in the philosophy that the only way to make a film one believes in is to make it "regardless of the obstacles". The redeemer is the resolute Nutan Kumar aka Newton (Rao), a small cog in the giant wheel of nation-keeping, whose dedication to the job is both amusing in the truest way, and exemplary.
