Iran claims to have tested "successfully" in its new ballistic missile

Nikki Haley denies designs on secretary of state job

Iran unveiled a new ballistic missile capable of carrying multiple warheads for up to 1,120 miles, according to state television.

Although the US State Department admits that Iran has not violated the agreement, they have stated that the ballistic missile tests breach the spirit of the agreement, as it would be relatively easy to modify a ballistic missile to carry a nuclear warhead.

The Iran nuclear deal was orchestrated by the Obama administration and put strains on US relations with enemies of Iran, including Israel and Saudi Arabia.

Rouhani, a moderate, has staked his reputation on sealing the nuclear deal and relieving the Iranian economy of debilitating worldwide sanctions.

Amir Ali Hajizadeh, commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Aerospace Force, said the missile can carry multiple warheads.

Iran announced on Saturday, September 23, 2017, that it has successfully tested a new missile, with a 1,250-mile range, which is capable of reaching Israel and U.S. bases in the Gulf.

Iran also displayed other home-made advanced missiles, including ballistic missiles, which are reported to have ranges of 1,300 km to 2,000 km.

Romelu Lukaku: United fans meant well but let's move on from chant
The chant has been condemned by numerous United fan groups, and Lukaku hopes the whole controversy can be consigned to history. Lukaku will be looking to add more goals to his tally when Manchester United play away to Southampton on Saturday.

The rocket, which Tehran said could carry several warheads, was shown off by the regime at a military parade on Friday.

At the United Nations on Tuesday, Mr Trump criticised Iran's missile programme and the 2015 nuclear deal with the country.

On Wednesday, Rouhani spoke during the 2017 gathering of the UN General Assembly. Rouhani had rejected a US -led effort to alter the Iranian 2015 nuclear agreement at the United Nations General Assembly in NY on Wednesday.

"Whether you like it or not, we are going to defend the oppressed peoples of Yemen, Palestine and Syria", he said. "We will strengthen our missile capabilities".

Iran denies its missile development breaches the resolution and says its missiles are not created to carry nuclear weapons. "We will not seek permission from anyone to defend our country".

Rouhani has stated that this Trump government is looking to get "an excuse" to get out from the landmark 2015- nuclear arrangement which topped Iran's atomic activities in substitution for the lifting of worldwide actions against Iran.

Tehran says that the missiles are entirely legitimate under the terms of the deal, as they are not created to carry a nuclear warhead.
