Million Sonic Customers Possibly Affected By Data Breach, Reports Say

Oklahoma City-based fast food chain Sonic has acknowledged a data breach potentially affecting millions of credit and debit cards

However, Krebs noted that it is still unclear whether Sonic is the only company whose customers' cards were being sold in the Firetigerr batch.

Beware, late-night snackers and fast food connoisseurs: Millions of credit and debit cards used at Sonic restaurants may have been compromised and put up for sale in "underground cybercrime stores".

Sonic has over 3,500 locations in the US, including 15 in New York, according to NBC New York.

Cards for sale that have been connected to a breach at Sonic Drive-In.

The fast-food chain has 3,600 locations across 45 states.

English Premier League Report: Stoke City v Chelsea 23 September 2017
In an already competitive race to be the division's top scorer, Morata joined Sergio Aguero and Romelu Lukaku on six goals from as many games.

Sonic has acknowledged a security breach affecting an unknown number of its stores' payment systems.

The Oklahoma City-based restaurant operator said its credit card processor last week told the company of the unusual activity with cards that had been used at Sonic restaurants. "We immediately engaged third-party forensic experts and law enforcement when we heard from our processor", Sonic Drive-In said in a statement to Krebs. That pattern was coupled by a recent pattern of fraudulent transactions on cards recently used at Sonic.

The last fast-food chain to be impacted by a hack of this magnitude was Wendy's previous year, which had more than 1,000 locations compromised. It says that it will communicate additional information "as we are able".

"The security of our guests' information is very important to SONIC".
