Gareth Bale ruled out of Wales' final World Cup qualifiers

Reuters

Heading into the final two matches of World Cup qualifying-away to Georgia and home to Ireland-Wales have been handed a blow in the form of an injury to main man Gareth Bale. If Woodburn can help lift Wales into the World Cup playoffs, it will only be more fuel for the runaway hype train.

It is being reported that in his absence, the 17-year-old Ben Woodburn, who plays for Liverpool, could make his first start for Wales.

The 17-year-old made a dramatic introduction last month when he scored the victor within five minutes of coming on as a second-half substitute against Austria.

The Dragons have won only seven of the 33 games Bale has missed since making his debut in 2006, while Wales have won none of the last 10 when the 28-year-old forward has been absent.

"The Football Association of Wales can confirm that Gareth Bale will miss the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Georgia and Republic of Ireland", the FAW statement said.

Facebook will hire 1000 employees to control adverts amid Russian Federation investigation
Facebook has revealed that around 10 million people viewed the political ads taken out by a Russian entity on its platform. In many cases, the ads encouraged people to follow pages on those issues. "This is an issue we have debated a great deal".

The Real Madrigli Ballet, only player in all four of last 4 organisations in Wales, who has managed to do so, was not awarded award this year.

Gunter has again been ever-present for Wales in 2017 to take his number of caps to 81 - the second most by an outfield player, with only Gary Speed ahead of him on 85.

That means Wales realistically need to win both of their remaining two games, not only to stay above the Republic of Ireland in second place, but to have any chance of climbing the second place rankings or potentially even catch Serbia and qualify automatically.

"These two massive games are up there with the biggest that we have had and hopefully we can do it".
