'Glee' Star Pleads Guilty To Child Porn

Mark Salling has plea bargained his child pornography case... pleading guilty to possession of child pornography involving a prepubescent minor

In a plea agreement filed with the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California on Tuesday, Salling, 35, has agreed to plead guilty to one federal count of possession of child pornography stemming from an indictment filed a year ago.

Former "Glee" star Mark Salling pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography involving a prepubescent minor as part of a plea bargain.

While initially facing a 20-year jail term, TMZ reported that prosecutors were seeking a sentence of between four and seven years.

According to court docs, he used his home computer to "download thousands of images of child pornography" from April 2015 through the time of his arrest.

On May 31, 2016, the now 35-year old actor was indicted on two counts for receiving and possessing child pornography on his laptop computer and a flash memory drive.

By pleading guilty, Salling avoided a maximum sentence of 20 years, although he was also ordered to pay each of his victims $50,000 and enter a treatment program for sex offenders.

The star became a household name the world over after starring in teen TV show Glee as bad boy and heartthrob Puck.

Reports at the time claimed the 33-year-old's ex-girlfriend tipped off the police.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Salling must also register as a sex offender, have no communication with anyone under the age of 18 (unless in the presence of a parent or legal guardian).
