Woman who lived with Las Vegas shooter described as 'person of interest'

Las Vegas shooter Stephen Craig Paddock's father was a notorious bank robber who tried to run down an FBI agent with his vehicle in Las Vegas in 1960 and was on the agency's most wanted list after escaping from a federal prison in Texas in 1968.

Steiner said that to have killed and injured so many people, Paddock likely fired around 600 rounds - all of which could fit in a gym bag.

"She has probably the best insight into the mind of Paddock prior to him killing all these people", Gomez said.

Danley's sisters said Paddock bought her "a cheap ticket" to the Philippines, her home country. Paddock killed himself before police reached his hotel room.

Authorities now say they are looking closely at Paddock's finances, saying he had 200 plus reports of large financial transactions.

Marilou Danley, the woman whose name was dragged in the shooting incident, initially described as of "Asian descent" was later found to be a Filipina. A onetime high-limit hostess for a club within the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno, Danley posted several photos from Las Vegas gambling tournaments, including one from a stay at Mandalay Bay in 2014. She was sent away.

A receptionist at the office of Los Angeles-based criminal defense attorney Matthew Lombard confirmed he was representing Danley but would not comment further.

Russian Air Strike 'Injures Top Jihadist'
Jabhat al-Nusra, or Al-Nusra Front, was the name of a militant group that was described as Al-Qaeda's branch in Syria . The strike came after Russia's military learnt where Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) commanders were due to meet, it added.

"He didn't let her talk", the employee said.

Investigators have found no evidence that Paddock, 64, had even incidental contacts with foreign or domestic extremist groups, and reviews of his history show no underlying pattern of law breaking or hate speech, a senior USA homeland security official said on Tuesday. Public records contained no indication of any financial problems, and his brother described him as a wealthy real estate investor.

At a briefing conference, Lombardo called on media to remain patient, because authorities need time to "ensure the continued safety of our community" and local police must join security work for President Donald Trump's visit scheduled on Wednesday to the city.

"It makes you very proud to be an American when you see the job that they've done", he said.

After his conviction, Patrick was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison, but escaped and went on the run again.

She was expected to be questioned upon her arrival in Los Angeles, The New York Times reported.
