Feinstein Likely to Run for Reelection: 'Ready for a Good Fight'

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) officially declared her intention to run for reelection Monday, ending months of speculation about her future and probably avoiding what would have been an intense scramble of Golden State politics to succeed her.

Feinstein made the announcement in a tweet from her campaign's Twitter account.

While Feinstein has been reelected by fairly comfortable margins, many speculated that she would retire due to her age.

Feinstein, who was the mayor of San Francisco for a decade before her Senate career, has been among the most outspoken voices on issues like gun violence and torture during her long legislative tenure. "I'm all in!" the tweet said.

Feinstein is the oldest USA senator but among several octogenarians, including Republicans Chuck Grassley, Orrin Hatch, Richard Shelby, Jim Inhofe, Pat Roberts and John McCain.

New Justice League Trailer Hints At Superman's Return, Because Duh
Over the weekend, the Justice League Twitter announced there would be a trailer that debuts on Sunday, Oct. 8 at 9:00 a.m. Justice League is directed by Zack Snyder with post-production duties handled by Joss Whedon .

The veteran Democrat had dodged questions about whether she would seek a fifth term, leaving her party in the nation's most populous state in limbo about whether to start grooming a possible replacement. She said the change in gun laws must be permanent and codified by Congress, not addressed through regulations only.

"We share a common interest in this Senate race".

The mere implication that Trump could be a "good president" drew the ire of state Senate president Kevin de León, whose recent two-day trip to Washington was seen as laying the groundwork for a potential Senate run.

Feinstein's old-school political sensibilities and foreign policy could be at odds with California, where increasingly young and diverse voters have demanded all-out opposition to Trump. Feinstein turned 84 on June 22 and will be 91 at the conclusion of her next term. "We are better off with her leadership and I look forward to continuing to fight together for California in the Senate".
