Michael Smith Reportedly Sitting out SportsCenter After Jemele Hill's Suspension

Jerry Jones says Cowboys will bench any player who 'disrespects' flag

Jemele Hill, who had deemed President Trump a "white supremacist" on Twitter, has been suspended by ESPN on Monday.

This tweet apparently was considered a violation of some sort because ESPN wants its news anchors to act like white allies and not see color.

"Jemele Hill has been suspended for two weeks for a second violation of our social media guidelines". Trump called for an apology from the network on Twitter, while ESPN issued a statement at the time, writing that Hill's statement do not reflect the views of the network.

On Sunday, Hill tweeted about Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones having said that any player who "disrespects the flag" will not play. That came two weeks after the NFL declared it stood behind its players and projected a message of unity in the wake of President Donald Trump calling any player who protested during the national anthem a "son of a bitch".

"This play always work".

Her tweets encouraged people to boycott the Cowboys and their advertisers. Change happens when advertisers are impacted.

Breast cancer gene tests to be made available to high-risk groups
Dr Amit Verma, consultant, molecular oncology said that 50% of breast cancer patients in NCR are in 25-50 years of age group. Breast cancer awareness is so important because generally cancers that are found earlier need LESS treatment.

Hill did not immediately respond to a request for comment on her suspension.

Hill, an African American woman, followed up with this: "His rise is a direct result of white supremacy".

Hill joined ESPN in 2006 as a national columnist and made television appearances on "SportsCenter", "First Take", "Around the Horn" and "Outside the Lines".

"We have addressed this with Jemele and she recognizes her actions were inappropriate", ESPN said.

"I'm not sure if he's aware" of the tweets, Sanders said, "but I think that's one of the more outrageous comments that anyone could make, and certainly something that I think is a fireable offense by ESPN".
