Giants suspend Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie; Did he have 'altercation' with Ben McAdoo?

Giants cornerback Dominique Rodgers Cromartie is suspended

In what has been a insane Wednesday, the New York Giants announced that they suspended veteran cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie but there's a possibility he could return Thursday.

Giants safety Landon Collins told reporters, though, that Rodgers-Cromartie and McAdoo had some sort of incident on the sidelines during last week's loss to the Chargers and that he isn't buying the explanation that DRC left the team of his own volition.

"DRC came in yesterday, we had a conversation that was personal upstairs". "And he came in today, chose to leave. We will suspend him", McAdoo said.

Kaepernick tells CBS he'll stand during national anthem
The president told the crowd at the rally on September 22 that teams should fire players who kneel during the anthem. He also claimed that the quarteback will stop kneeling during the anthem in his bid to fully focus on football.

Asked if this was something that came out of nowhere, McAdoo repeated the exact same answer.

According to Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News, Rodgers-Cromartie had a conversation with McAdoo on Tuesday and again on Wednesday, when he ultimately chose to leave practice shortly after he got there. Ross Cockrell entered the game when the Giants used their nickel sub-package, bumping Rodgers-Cromartie back inside. With the addition of free agent Janoris Jenkins and first-round pick Eli Apple, however, his role has diminished slightly in recent years. The expectation, I know, is just go out there and get it done because a lot has been invested in us. On WFAN, NFL Network's Mike Francesa said Rodgers-Cromartie took off his pads at halftime and declared he was done playing, according to the New York Post.

The argument, according to Rapoport's report, wasn't resolved Sunday and continued into Wednesday.
