Tottenham Hotspur's Danny Rose 'would turn down Chelsea for Manchester United'

Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose is hoping to quit the club to join Manchester United, according to the Daily Star.

It is said that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy "will drive a hard bargain and refuse to let Rose go on the cheap", but United have the cash to make Spurs an offer too lucrative to reject. Spurs will not want to lose Rose, but they have a ready-made replacement in Ben Davies, who is only a notch or two below the England global in an attacking sense, and offers greater reliability in defence.

Rose was in the form of his life last season when he damaged the medial ligament in his left knee during Spurs' 0-0 draw at Sunderland on 31 January.

Lamela, 25, has suffered problems with both hips and was not named in Tottenham's squad for the group stages of the Champions League.

Open-sea wind farms could power humanity, but there's a catch
Meaning they can only extract as much energy comes down to the level of the wind turbine from the upper levels of the atmosphere. Interestingly, their research found that the tremendous amount of energy generated in their models was incredibly seasonal.

The Argentine's long-standing problem has caused massive issues and several setbacks, something which he has tried to mend.

England full-back Rose has been sidelined since late January with a knee injury and Argentinian midfielder Lamela has not played in nearly 12 months due to hip problems.

Spurs have seen left-back Ben Davies step up in recent weeks, and Rose is not assured of his first team spot upon his return to fitness. But after five months of rehabilitation he returned to first-team training this week and is understood to be feeling good.

The left-back voiced his concern at Tottenham's refusal to pay big wages earlier this summer, and admitted he was keen on a move to the North.
