Equifax may have been breached again

Equifax has probably been hacked again

The company has taken part of its website offline after an independent analyst said the site may have been hacked.

Big-three consumer credit bureau Equifax says it has removed third-party code from its credit report assistance Web site that prompted visitors to download spyware disguised as an update for Adobe's Flash Player software.

"Our IT and Security teams are looking into this matter, and out of an abundance of caution have temporarily taken this page offline", his statement added. "When it becomes available or we have more information to share, we will".

Equifax is still reeling from its discovery of a breach that compromised personal data of more than 145.5 million Americans and about 8,000 Canadians.

"As I tried to find my credit report on the Equifax website I clicked on an Equifax link and was redirected to a malicious URL", Abrahms wrote. The hack has led to multiple federal and state investigations and the departure of the company's 12-year chief executive. In many cases, even more personal data was exposed, including driver's license and credit card numbers.

NBC's Seth Meyers to Trump Supporters: Stop Watching My Show; "Go Away"
Eminem closed the piece by saying people who don't support the president love the military and the country, but "hate Trump ". He then tried his own hand at dropping rhymes: "My name is Seth and I'm here to say, if you like Trump then go away".

Earlier this month, Equifax said its outside security consultant had concluded an investigation into the breach, which it first detected in July.

The cyberattack occurred through a vulnerability in an open-source application framework it uses called Apache Struts.

While Equifax continues to deal with the fallout of the massive data breach it announced in September, a security expert is raising fears that the consumer credit rating agency might have another security problem on its hands.
