'White widow' jihadi killed by U.S. drone

It was previously claimed Jones was using Hamza as human shield in an attempt to stop the US from carrying out a similar strike on her

According to reports, Sally Jones - nicknamed the White Widow - was killed in a drone strike in June - but the details have only now been released.

The US Air Force Predator strike took place near the Syria-Iraq border, the newspaper said.

"The Americans zapped her trying to get away from Raqqa".

The Pentagon said it's looking into reports that a British Islamic State supporter known as the "White Widow" was killed by an airstrike this summer.

When she arrived she married British-Pakastani hacker Junaid Hussain who was killed in a drone strike in 2015.

Asked about reports Jones' son was killed in the strike, Maj Gen Chapman added: "It is a hard one because under the UN Charters he is under the age of what we would classify as a soldier".

IPad Pro could be Apple's next device to use Face ID
While Apple might've struck gold with Face ID, assembling the feature on an iPhone isn't as easy as unlocking one with it. As soon as we get some more details about the new iPad Pro, we will let you guys know.

A BBC correspondent on security issues Frank Gardner believes that Sally Jones has been an important agent of propaganda "ID".

Their deaths have not been officially confirmed due to the inability to collect evidence from the ground.

USA intelligence chiefs were "confident" that Jones had died but could not be completely certain because there was no way of retrieving DNA from the ground. The terror group has since cast doubts on the claim by releasing a recording of their leader this September, possibly to quell rumours of his death and to motivate the group's followers, according to the New York Times.

A former member of an all-girl punk rock group, Jones became a leading recruitment officer for IS.

He was killed by a United States drone in 2015, and had allegedly been planning "barbaric attacks against the West", including terror plots targeting "high profile public commemorations" this summer.

Jones, who went by the name Umm Hussain Britaniyah, had been one of the world's most wanted terrorists and was believed to be on a hit list of 20 extremists targeted by the SAS in Syria.
