Farmington man arrested after LaGuardia threat

The man claiming to have a bomb at La Guardia Airport was taken into custody while the Bomb Squad looked through his bag

Flights were briefly disrupted Saturday morning at LaGuardia Airport as New York City police arrested a man who they say threatened an airline employee with a bomb. Airport officials said the threat was determined to be "non-credible".

According to CBS New York, an airline employee said Park put his bag on the counter, stated, "You keep it, and there's a bomb in it", and walked away.

Confusion prevailed as people were evacuated to the sidewalk outside the terminal and traffic around the airport was diverted, passengers said.

Police immediately shut down he ticketing area of the airport's main terminal and checked his bag, which contained no explosives. No explosives were found and no one was injured in the incident.
